The meeting place is at Porta Nuova, Piazza Manin.

Our tour aims to show Pisa, starting from the famous Piazza dei Miracoli, not only from the historical-artistic point of view, but also with tales related to this wonderful city, once a Maritime Republic.

We will analyze together the walls that surround the square, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, the Monumental Cemetery and finally the Leaning Tower, of which we will discover the reasons for the slope and its symbolic meaning.

The tour will continue in the streets of the center of this city, university seat since 1343, where we can still admire the tower-houses, to reach the heart of Renaissance Pisa, Piazza dei Cavalieri, an extraordinary example of Florentine architecture, designed by Giorgio Vasari, commissioned by the Medici.

The square houses also the prestigious Scuola Normale Superiore, founded by Napoleon, where several Nobel Prize winners and the President of the Italian Republic Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, deceased in 2016, were educated.

The tour lasts 1.15 h, the cost is 12 euros per person, free for children under the age of 11. The presence of at least two people is required.

The visit of the Cathedral is included in the tour. In the Cathedral it is mandatory to keep your shoulders covered.
